In 2009, Central District Health Department (CDHD) was faced with the responsibility of administering tens of thousands of doses of vaccine to the community in response to the H1N1 influenza pandemic. CDHD employed the services of MAV for a five month period. During this time, MAV consistently provided professional staff to protect our resources (i.e., people and materials) and manage large crowds of people, including children and people with disabilities. As a result of their support, CDHD was able to successfully vaccinate over 90,000 individuals without a single compromise to the mission. Without reliable and top-notch support from MAV, CDHD would have not been able to successfully respond to this public health emergency. Their involvement directly resulted in a decrease in influenza-related illnesses and deaths in our community.

Last year was the first year for Eagle River Pavilion to host over 10 concerts ranging from Crosby, Stills & Nash, Michael Franti, Lyle Lovett, Slightly Stoopid and Australian Pink Floyd. Since 2010 was our first year in operations we did not have the in house staff to facilitate all our needs so the choice to contract with MAV made a very logical choice for us. Utilizing MAV Event Services at our venue for a variety of duties we knew that operations would run smoothly throughout the night.
Your team was always on time and professional during every one of our events. When there was a need for your staff to step in to handle any incidents (which there were very few), it was handled discreetly and professionally. Your team assisted us on many aspects of putting on an event, including security checks, ticket taking, band security, parking, and crowd control.
We look forward to another successful year of shows at Eagle River Pavilion with the help of MAV Event Services.

In my nearly 20 years in the concert promotion business I have worked with venues ranging from 200 person capacity up to40,000 seat capacity range in many different cities and states all with varying security needs based on the show being promoted. I have worked with both good and not so good crews over the years. When we opened Eagle River Pavillion in 2010 securing MAV Event Services to use for our ticketing, security, ushers and parking was an easy decision.
I’ve worked with MAV Events Services in the past at other venues and knew their company had a solid reputation in the market. Since 2010 was our first year, it was easier for us to hire an outside source for our needs versus hiring an in house crew to handle the work for a summer only venue.
MAV Event services was a pleasure to work with, professional, and helped make our shows run smoothly.
We look forward to another successful year of shows at Eagle River Pavillion with the help of MAV Event Services.

Mark,
Thank you for the planning and response assistance provided by yourself and your staff during the H1N1 flu response across the Boise Valley. The planning assistance provided prior to the deployment of pharmaceuticals ensured appropriate locations and staffing for the event. The professional response and management of the large crowds provided a safe and secure environment for the citizens seeking assistance, and for the health officials providing assistance. The involvement of yourself and your professional staff is greatly appreciated and led to a successful deployment.
Thanks for your efforts,

Mark,
I just wanted to drop you a quick not to tell you how impressed I was with one of your supervisors (Lynn MacConkey) on Saturday night, March 24th. While myself and another Boise Police Officer worked the Treefort Music Festival in downtown Boise, we had several dealings with Lynn while he worked security for the event. Lynn was very professional and courteous in the contacts we witnessed, and he pointed out several potential “trouble spots” during the course of the event. Most noteworthy was a citizen contact he referred to us, and Lynn escorted the citizen to us to make sure the incident was brought to our attention. This resulted in an arrest for felony DUI. The subject of interest was very intoxicated, and had he been allowed to drive home he would have undoubtedly been involved in a crash. Lynn is a credit to your organization, and I would strongly encourage his continued employment/involvement in any and all events he can work. Lynn is exactly the type of person who causes me to refer as many potential clients to your company as possible. Keep up the good work. Kyle

Greetings Mr. Sumpter,
I understand that you are in charge of security at the Football games. I have been a season ticket holder for over twenty years and at one time, the Sheriff’s Office was responsible for providing security at the games so I am familiar with the needs and challenges of staffing that service. I’m also familiar with the need to be more efficient and provide better services at lower costs wherever possible.
I’ve watched the MAV Event Services people and want to share my thoughts with you. Each time I walk through the gate, they not only provide the security service of checking my stadium seat, but they are friendly and almost always say, “Please enjoy the game.” While simple, it is a nice touch that security personnel demonstrate an interest in making the event enjoyable for patrons.
During the game, their backs are to the field and they are paying attention to what matters – the security of the crowd. This is probably what strikes me most as I know most people would be more interested in watching the game.
Lastly, they simply appear to be security professionals. The uniformity of the black clothes and high-visibility vests works very well in that environment (and they don’t look like thugs!). I believe appearance is an important deterrent and we’ve all seen security personnel that make us raise our eyebrow and wonder just what they would do if we needed them. In short, these event services people just always appear “on the ball”.
So, in closing, I do not know if you or the contractor are responsible for creating the expectations and the level of professional service, but I truly think they are doing a great job and wanted to commend them.
Good job!!! Warm Regards,
Sheriff Gary Raney

Hi Mark,
Thank you. The MAV Crew was once again nothing short of amazing. Doug and Taylor were great leaders and all other crew were on point all the time. Many, many compliments from guests and festival staff. Give my thanks to Sue for scheduling as needed. Go ahead and put us down for same weekend next year and any other event I ever do you are the 1st call.
